چکیده
This study aims to build and test the adaptability reliability of Soil Water Assessment Tool hydrological model in a small mountain forested watershed. ungauged watershed covers 184 km2 supplies 90% blue water for Bra?ov metropolitan area, second largest area Romania. After building custom database at forest management compartment level, SWAT was run. Further, using SWAT-CUP software under SUFI2 algorithm, we identified most sensitive parameters required calibration validation stage. Moreover, sensitivity analysis revealed that surface runoff is mainly influenced by soil, groundwater vegetation condition parameters. The carried out 2001–2010, while 1996–1999 period used validation. Both procedures have indicated satisfactory performance lower uncertainty results replicating river discharge compared with observed discharge. research demonstrates can be applied watersheds after an appropriate parameterisation its databases. Furthermore, this tool support decision-makers conceiving sustainable management. It also guides prioritising suitable measures increase basin resilience ensure demand climate change.

Evaluating the Swat Model for a Low‐gradient Forested Watershed in Coastal South Carolina
Modeling the hydrology of low‐gradient forested watersheds on shallow, poorly drained soils of the coastal plain is a challenging task due to complexities in watershed delineation, microtopography, evapotranspiration, runoff generation processes and pathways including flooding and submergence caused by tropical storms, and complexity of vegetation species. The main objective of this study was t...

Long-Term Ionic Increases from a Central Appalachian Forested Watershed
The electrical conductivity of stream water draining from an unmanaged and undisturbed control watershed has been increasing rather steadily, about 0.03 mS m-1 yr-1, since 1971. During this period, NO~ and Ca 2÷ concentrations increased and were shown to mathematically account for the ionic contribution to conductivity; therefore, they are believed to be primarily responsible for the increase. ...
متن کاملThe Characteristics of Extreme Erosion Events in a Small Mountainous Watershed
A large amount of soil loss is caused by a small number of extreme events that are mainly responsible for the time compression of geomorphic processes. The aim of this study was to analyze suspended sediment transport during extreme erosion events in a mountainous watershed. Field measurements were conducted in Wangjiaqiao, a small agricultural watershed (16.7 km(2)) in the Three Gorges Area (T...

a r t i c l e i n f o The Upper Rio Chagres drains 414 km 2 of steep, mountainous terrain in central Panama. A tropical air mass thunderstorm on 10 July 2007 produced a flood across the basin that peaked at 720 m 3 s − 1 at a headwaters gage draining 17.5 km 2 and 1710 m 3 s − 1 at a downstream gage draining 414 km 2. The storm also triggered numerous landslides in the upper basin, which facili...
